Terence G. O'Brien
Mr. O'Brien is a partner with May & O'Brien, LLP and focuses his practice on family law, business and real estate litigation, appellate practice, and criminal defense. In these arenas, Mr. O'Brien has successfully represented clients through all stages of litigation, from pre-trial through appeal.
In family law, Mr. O'Brien represents clients in matters related to divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, harassment, and post-dissolution proceedings. He also represents clients on matters related to harassment restraining orders and orders for protection.
In business and real estate litigation, Mr. O'Brien's experience extends to breach of contract claims, boundary disputes, quiet title actions, zoning procedures, and lien rights related to construction.
As an appellate lawyer with significant experience before Minnesota's Appellate Courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Mr. O'Brien is fully familiar with the procedure and practice unique to these courts. He has successfully represented clients in these venues on a variety of issues.
